I'd stop eating that crow until the end of the season IIRC he started out better last year then he finished.

Well I think tonight he equaled his RBI total for all of last year and is just 2 home runs shy of his total for a year ago...so he's doing a lot better than last year for sure

As a Smoak hater, I can truely say this is the most surprising turnaround I've ever seen

Added bonus to the Smoak turn around is that it sure gives a guy faith in the Jays front office.

That deal looked really dumb and was a total head scratcher the moment it was signed. Yet here is Smoak making them look like geniuses.

Same boat. From an escape goat to the most solid player on the Jays lineup this year. Who'd have thought?

Let's all remember Michael Saunders last year before we go letting our guard down on Smoak. That said, hopefully he can keep it up though. He's one of the best fielding first basemen in the game, and if he can keep his bat going like people thought he would when he was drafted, we may have quite the 1st baseman on our hands.

Well, if nothing else, Smoak is loads better defensively (different position notwithstanding) than Michael Saunders.

@israelfehr: Blue Jays rotation for the weekend against the Yankees: Estrada (Thu), Liriano (Fri), Biagini (Sat), Stroman (Sun).

Jesus. Happ may want to consider a few more rehab starts.

@benwag247: With Mat Latos' release, #Bisons rotation is now Luis Santos, Brett Oberholtzer, Jarrett Grube, TJ House and Cesar Valdez. #BlueJays

Hamilton is ridiculously fast. Puts you in a tough spot every time he hits first.

That was a no doubter! I miss Eddie as much as the next guy, but the flexibility in having a switch hitting DH is pretty darn nice.
