"Sarcee" was an anglo bastardization of the more difficult to pronounce "Tsuu T'ina". Changed about 20 years ago.

Isn't Sarcee what the Blackfoot people called the Tsuu T'ina?

That's my understanding, and it was basically an insult.

That's what I heard as well. It means "empty head" or something like that. I used to work at a First Nations program and that's what my co-workers told me.

So about the report that there was an arrest? I haven’t seen anything in any local new sources providing an update.

Someone was arrested in Cochrane and then released. I’m surprised there hasn’t been more media coverage of this investigation, it’s pretty much dropped off the radar.

Yeah, that was the old news, but killer_carlsen said yesterday there was a report of an arrest. I assume that was a new arrest and not referring to the guy from Cochrane who was released with charge. Just haven’t seen anything about that anywhere, including CBC.

Oh yeah, for some reason CBC had the story about the initial arrest back up on their top stories yesterday- but it was just the article from August 5 about the first arrest.

In a more recent report, RCMP have yet to charge anyone.

Yeah, yet somehow still believe it was a case of mistaken identity and not road rage. Weird.

So he has gone home, and they left the bullet in his brain.

Quote:
The victim shows symptoms of severe and life-changing injuries. He is not able to talk or move his right side. The doctors were not able to remove the bullet from his brain, as they would have to cause further damage. He is now on his way home to Germany, with a special aircraft, where he will be further treated in a hospital specialized on brain injuries. His wife, having left Canada as well, wants to express her sincere gratitude to all who helped the family so impressively in so many different ways. Now a very long road to recovery will begin with an unknown outcome.

Wow, I tend to think that if the shooter is caught part of his sentence should really be and its with all gun crimes, that you have to financially and physically support the family for the rest of your life.

So awful, people come to visit our country and we shoot them in the head. I don't think I could have been as gracious as his wife was. I'm glad to see the gofundme raised so much for them. I've travelled to a lot of "dangerous" places. Someone shouldn't go home with a bullet in his head from visiting Canada.

Makes sense that it was a 16 year old. Only someone that age would be stupid enough to do something like that.
