He went to the hospital with chest pains, they let him out Friday and now he's dead. Not a good look for the medical staff.

Really is too bad. Kam was such a fun player to watch and by all accounts is a good guy both on and off the field too. This combined with the stagnant Earl Thomas situation has really dealt the Seahawks a bad hand this year. If I were Schneider, I would not be forced into a trade and let Thomas rot at this point. Sooner or later the fines will bring him back.

I'm aware that this is the very first snaps of the season, but there have been 3 of the new helmet leading calls made so far and it's already looking like the new 'Catch Rule', where nobody has a clue between what's a call or what isnot

Eagles were missing their starting QB, starting LT, and starting MLB, all of whom are All-Pro players, and the Pats still lost by a TD and were lucky it didn't turn into a boat race during the first half. How do you think the rematch goes with all those guys healthy + even better D-line + an upgraded secondary and group of WRs?

In a week when the Broncos demoted Paxton Lynch to No. 3 and are working second-year quarterback Chad Kelly as the No. 2, Elway -- the team's president of football operations and general manager -- has not ruled out signing a veteran to be Case Keenum's backup.

Elway was asked Thursday if Kaepernick was "a viable option."

"You know what, and I said this a while ago: Colin had his chance to be here. We offered him a contract. He didn't take it," Elway said. "As I said in my deposition ... he's had his chance to be here. He passed it."
Kaepernick could be one of the best stories in the history of the game if he came back and lit it up.

He is his own worst enemy though.

Really unfortunate.

The new helmet to head rule his going to be an unmitigated disaster for the league this year. Watching the Eagles/Pats preseason game last night and you could just see how frustrated all of the players were getting with it.

I saw Foles got hurt last night and Wentz's knee may not be healed in time for week 1?

So Eliot Shorr-Parks is one of the worst, if not the worst, of the Eagles beat writers. I wouldn't put much stock into what that guy says because he pretty much makes his living off of predicting doom and gloom for the Eagles.

The team and Wentz have both been pretty adamant that he's going to be ready for week 1. That said, I'm not sure I totally buy it. I'll wait until I see reports of him getting a full week of 11-on-11 reps in before I believe it entirely.

I think Foles is probably fine.

I'm looking to get into NFL again. I live outside the country so was thinking of picking a team and signing up for the NFL GamePass Follow Your Team plan.

I was a Bills fan back when Flutie was there but lost interest since then. It looks like the Bills will suck again according to the SuperBowl odds so not sure I want to pick them as my team.

I took this test to see who I should cheer for and apparently I should cheer for the Carolina Panthers.

Are they an exciting team?

You guys have any suggestions? I don't want to cheer for the Pats or the Eagles but want a decent team that has the chance of making the playoffs and doing some damage.

Depends on what you find exciting. Carolina is more of a defensive team and on offence they prefer to run the ball. Cam Newton can be somewhat entertaining....moreso off the field.

I think the Los Angeles Rams will be a reasonably entertaining team to watch. Should have pretty good pieces on offence, to move the ball, and should be a decent team.

If Deshaun Watson is healthy he likely is the Must see player in the entire NFL this year.

Oakland (soon to be Las Vegas) Raiders. Best uniforms in all of football and a rabid fanbase that follows its team. Once they move to LV they will be the easiest US team to access for Western Canadians. Chucky is back and the team should also be competitive going forward.

They're going to be lucky to win 6 games this year.
