Really happy that Klimchuk is off to such a great start. 5 points in 3 games now. Already matched his goal total from all of last year.
Can see why Huska is still quite high on him even though he barely produced.

Klimchuk has matched his goal total from the entire last season tonight. Not that 3 goals was a lofty bar but he's matched it in 4 games.

Lomberg EN
Heat will win. 7-5
Huska probably won't be happy with how they let San Diego back into this game.
Heat have yet to lose in regulation.

Klimchuk may have got an assist on the empty netter, would give him a 4 point night too just like Pribyl.
It would also give him the Heat season scoring lead with 6 points in 3 games.

I don't know if they will count that Lomberg Empty netter (may have run out of time?) The official score sheet doesn't list it

I love seeing the AHL team have success. Developing these young, homegrown kids is so important for maintaining long term viability. It's the reason Detroit has remained relevant for two decades.
I was worried when we moved out Agostino, Arnold, Van Brabant and Grant but it doesn't appear to have hurt at all. What really excites me though is that it's our kids (Shinkaruk, Klimchuk, Pribyl, Jankowski, Mangiapane) doing most of the damage not the vets like Vey, Frattin and Angelidis.

Six players with at least a point a game after 4 games (Klimchuk, Mangiapane, Jankowski, Shinkaruk, Pribyl, and Robak). The best part is that they're all young players. Robak is the only one of them who has already passed his 24th birthday.
A 3-0-1 record after 4 games puts the Heat in a tie with Milwaukee for first overall in the AHL (ranked by points percentage).
With all the concerns that the Flames will lose Jokipakka to Las Vegas, I think there's a good chance that it could be Shinkaruk if he isn't protected.

Not that +/- is that relevant, but it is nice to see Klimchuk with 4 points and ending up a +4 as well.

I don't really like the way the plus/minus stat is being taken as irrelevant this day. Of course it needs to be considered with what opposition they face and the team they play on, but some players take pride in it, especially those who don't score much.

I am with you. Maybe I am a fossil but seems weird that goals for/against when you're on the ice is less important than shots for/against.
Doesn't Bobby Orr have the record for best plus/minus in a single season?
