and at least 5 inches (I don't know if Denis is 6 feet tall, it sounds better than 5'11" though).

Genie's Instagram is at least nice to look at, if not her tennis game.

Genie moves on in Vancouver as well with a tidy 6-2 6-2 straight sets win - She faces top seed Kateryna Kozlova on Thursday.

Im going Milos in 2 today. Just feel like he is going to break out and make a run at the US Open this year.

Would not be surprised to see 2 if not 3 sets going to tie-breakers.

Having watched Shapo quite a bit lately I have to say I don't like his chances today against Milos with the amount he's been double faulting and having mental lapses last 2-3 games at a time.
A match-up like this a different beast entirely so I expect it to bring the best out of each player. I'll give the edge to Milos today as he's been playing pretty clean, efficient tennis this week.

Looks like the rain has stopped and they are prepping the courts in Cincinnati for matches to start in the next 30-45 minutes.

The new format will involve a qualifying round in February, in which 24 teams will take part in home and away matches – a key element of the Davis Cup’s heritage. The 12 winners will secure a direct place into the final and will join the four semifinalists of the previous year – who qualify without having to play in February – and two wildcards that will be announced before the draw for the qualifying round.
I'm not a big fan of this new format to be honest but at least they will still play some qualifying matches in smaller cities around the world.
I also don't like this growing opinion that mens tennis at the grand slams should be best of 3 instead of best of 5. In a recent interview Federer said he wanted more best of 5 while Novak said he would make grand slams best of 3.

So long as the Davis Cup stays true to playing at least qualifying matches in home countries around the world, I'm willing to try it. Losing the small town, home court feels entirely would ultimately kill the event.
I don't want to see slams going entirely to a best of 3 either. I would be open to the first round of all slams being a best of 3 format and then move on to a best of 5 setup as it is now. I think it would get the first rounds over with quicker, allow for more upsets and keep players fresh for the later rounds.

I think it was 2007 that Calgary hosted an America Zones 1 tie. It was at the Corral. Dark, kind of echo-y, but it was one of the reasons I fell in love with tennis. That home court feel...I can't even describe it. You felt such a connection with the players. The seats were so close to the Canadian bench, you could hear everything that was being said.
I guess money talks when it comes to what sponsors want, especially with Pique throwing in a lot of $$$ to support the format change.
