If we were subject to oversight we probably couldn’t call Peterson a pompous windbag who grifts people so dumb they believe a man that ate his way into a coma with an all meat diet has any insight on how best to live their lives.

Pretty sure that's inaccurate. I believe the story (at least as he tells it) is that he willingly entered a medically induced coma to conquer the massive withdrawal symptoms he was suffering due to him quitting benzos cold turkey.
Of course quitting benzos cold turkey was a terrible idea and was clearly against medical advice, and the track record of using medically induced coma as a treatment is I believe somewhat sketchy. However, since apparently at least according to Peterson he did beat that addiction that way, there is an argument to be made that the coma in itself was ultimately a sound choice.
While quitting benzos cold turkey was a terrible idea that apparently caused some amount of probably permanent yet preventable damage (and you can always ask some questions about how did he end up hooked on them in the first place) , I'm not really going to laugh at someone who ended up hurting themself in the process of trying to get rid of a severe addiction.
Of course the "all meat diet" was still extremely stupid (although probably BS like a lot of what Peterson says), and yeah I really struggle to see how someone can look at Jordan Peterson and think "that's someone who knows how to deal with life".
But AFAIK, his diet and the coma are only linked in the general story of Peterson self-destruction, not causally.

I've seen this phrase used to describe Ben Shapiro, but it's also an apt description of Jordan Peterson: "He sounds like what a stupid person thinks a smart person sounds like."
You know, I wanted that to be real because it would be hilarious, but scrolling through his feed it doesn’t look like it is. However, in doing so, I was actually surprised was how blatantly hateful the most famous Canadian intellectual in the world had become.
He was already that, obviously (which is why he had a couple fans here including OP), and I’ve enjoyed laughing at his expense, but it’s almost so sad it’s funny how much he’s just thrown the mask of intellectualism out the window.
He posts like 100 tweets a day of just hate, nonsense, and hateful nonsense. Amazing.

I'd really like to hear CliffFletcher's current feelings towards Jordan Peterson.
He’s a nutjob.
I did predict he would have some kind of breakdown. Didn’t predict it would be related to a bizarre medical treatment that his nutjob of a daughter encouraged him to undergo.
I do still follow Sam Harris. He’s been doing some good stuff lately.

If there was ever a more obvious grift…
