Perhaps these sort of tournaments bring viewers who don't usually watch a lot of the sport, but I'm shocked anyone could suggest that's anything but an easy red card.

Im always kind of disappointed when it gets to the QFs of major tournaments.
I like having quality games to watch every day during work, don’t want to have to have 2-3 day breaks with no games.

Like the first round of the NHL Playoffs.
I get it. Attention wanes.

Bad time zone though.
Looks like game times are 12:00PM, 3:00 AM, 5:00AM, 8:00AM
That's not ideal. European time zone is great because it's all during work hours.

It's only 1 hour ahead of Central European time right now, 2 hours in the winter. The group matches will be a 3:00, 6:00, 9:00 and 12:00 (Mountain Standard Time)
If Europe tried to fit 4 games in a day, it'd be similar. You'd get like a 4am game.

I always loved the 9:00/12:00 set of games during the world cup. Grab a pint and breakfast at the ship for the first match and then struggles to remember how the second match turned out by the time the afternoon rolls around.

When her face was beamed onto the big screen within the stadium, a loud cheer erupted from English fans, some of whom took great delight in her misfortune.
Fans of the Three Lions on Twitter also revelled in her misery, with English YouTube star Jack Carl Dean tweeting: “Never in my life have I been prouder to be English than when I heard a pub full of people erupt into cheers after seeing a 10-year-old German girl crying in the crowd.”

The football world will hope to see a little more decorum from the English fans when they take on Ukraine in the Euro quarterfinals on Sunday morning.

Weak call for sure, the guy played the ball first. I’d say that’s a yellow card at most but once again the baby poo soft call completely turns the momentum.

Soft for sure.
On the one hand you could argue technically a red as he missed the ball and went flying in with feet off the the ground and studs showing.
However had he given a yellow don't think there would be much complaints nor do I think VAR would overrule it. But giving the red there's no room for it to be overruled.
It's Michael Oliver.

Yeah, two footed though. VAR didn't even ask Oliver to look at it. Ref's call.

Repeat of Spain's 2018 exit on tap? In St. Petersburg (again), dominating the ball but not creating much (again), playing a lesser opponent (again), losing in penalties (????).

No pressure Spain.
You've just missed your last five penalties.
*edit* make that six!
