Panthers are gonna be an angry bunch after embarrassing themselves against the Oil last night. Hopefully the Flames show up ready to play.

I really hope they go game for game until someone decides they want to stay in net.

Taking a while to get to 5000

They need to get on a roll and start winning games. Right now, even if the sample size is smaller, its Vladar giving them the chance to win games.

Vladar starting is a positive sign. Shows that someone is paying attention. Sorry Jacob you’re a nice guy and all but you’re a very pricey backup til you stop letting in a soft goal every game.

Could we arrange for Lucic to collide with him in practice and then one go on LTIR? That would be wonderful.

I've been avoiding looking at the standings of late but I was pretty shocked to find that only a single game in hand separates the Flames and Canucks. How depressing given what a disaster their season has been.

Would be ideal to have a 1a/1b scenario where any game the Flames are confident with who's in net.

Probably a boost to the powerplay as well with his shot from the point. Betting they don’t take advantage of it though.

Win tonight and you're only 1 back of the Oilers and we go from sellers to buyers.

This team needs to start a win streak, the negative crowd has become insufferable again. This team has the easiest schedule left in the league, time to start rolling! GFG!

Both teams are in a win now mode. Will be a battle for the rest of the year between these two franchises.

Games coming off of a road trip are usually never pretty. Here's hoping that the Flames can at least start mustering a little be more consistency offensively with a string of home games against VERY average teams.
Special teams needs to be A LOT better the rest of the way for this team to start turning the corner and what better way to get that going than playing some blah opposition at home.

This is not directed solely at you, but this is not even a remote possibility. There is no way that this team will be bad enough to get that low in the standings. The people that say they want a total scorched earth rebuild clearly do not remember the "Young Guns" era. Just because your team sucks for a long time, does not mean that you will be a Stanley Cup contender. In fact, most teams that tank never get that good. Look at the stupid team up north!
I would much rather make the playoffs every year and have a chance.
Flames turn it around and look really good in a win tonight....yet something will happen that pisses off a section of fans on here and people will still be complaining. This place and the world loves negativity.

Any competently-run organization with McDrai at their disposal, would be competing for Stanley Cups on a regular basis. The Oilers aren't because they aren't.

It goes the other way too. The Flames win and Wild lose and the Flames are in a playoff spot despite the start. They win their 3 in hand on LA and they are tied with them for 3rd in the division.
Seriously, what is more likely, this team continuing the way they are (or worse) or figuring it out and being just fine? I am 100% on the latter.
So many people complained that there was no adversity last year, yet when there is some, everyone wants to throw themselves into traffic!
