Yeah, I mean we know it's a pedestal jersey, so I'm hoping he just heard it was black and guessed at the colours. Honestly, I hope they went with a black jersey with white instead of red for the shoulders.

The black outline on the white C for the pedestal jerseys was much thinner than the C they are using in these designs. My red pro practice jersey's crest from that era has a 1/8" black outline between the white and the yellow areas rather than the thick one used by many designs. It is a full size crest.

That would be one of, if not the worst jersey in the NHL by a long shot. The team actually looks like a really strong team this year, why make them wear a jersey from the darkest timeline????

Outside of it being hideous (IMO) there is a total of zero shoulder patches, so there is no chance this is an official Flames jersey.

We've literally made 1 nice jersey, 1 decent jersey and a whole bunch of terrible ones.

Nostalgia aside, winter classic, blasty, pedestal are all bad. The blasty logo is a good shoulder patch, and that jersey looks like a vancouver canuck jersey from the early 80s.

The word mark 3rd with the western style shoulders was horrific, and looked like some off brand 3rd party flames merch you would find in the back of zellers in 1992.

I'd much rather see something interesting with a flaming C and some slightly different colour combinations, instead of blasty's, word marks, pedestals, and most importantly black jerseys. So incredibly overdone, but if we're going to do that make it a flaming C at least. I've thought the current circular shoulder patch could make an interesting third, but many pointed out some flaws in the actual logo, which I think were good points once it's a larger logo. This is exactly how I feel about the blasty logo.

No argument on the ones they basically created in the late 70s. Almost everything since (black C was alright) has been bad.

I'd go Lindy for this one, Hubey for the Home and Kadri for the Blasty. That's 600 bucks down the drain. More like 900 I imagine with names and numbers.

I mostly agree with this. Can't give them credit for going back to the jerseys we all love without also recognizing that they had a winning set to begin with and instead chose to dress the team in some pretty bad looks for 2+ decades. Ultimately, they have achieved success primarily by giving up on trying to do better.

These Reverse Retros are supposed to be about nostalgia though and for 4 games it’s okay if it’s ugly.

In terms of the Blasty jersey I don’t think the organization really wanted to make it the third TBH, but when fan response was so positive to the Reverse Retro they went that direction.

Also I give the current group (Ryan Popowich) some credit. It wasn’t them that stuck with the ugly jerseys through the 90s and 2010s, and once they entered the fray (and Ken King sadly got sick) they were able to make the required changes to the brand.
