Well, I meant appearances as whatever hallucinations / lapses in unconciousness he was having.
So if there some tie-in between FTWD and the helicopter people?

Those appearances were all form dead people though, Morgan is not dead(well, not yet. I guess he could die soonish and they could have made that work).
I don't think there is any crossover with the heli-people.

The helicopter people can't be that far away, since they can only fly about 2.5 hours on one tank of fuel, or 300-350 miles (I googled it). Rick and the gang are currently near Washington DC, correct? So the the helicopter folks must be located somewhere in Delaware or Pennsylvania. Philadelphia maybe?
Or maybe they fly him to an airfield nearby and then put him on a plane? This show doesn't often adhere to logic or reality, so who knows.

This is a show that had a van fall 50 feet over a bridge and land completely upright, despite the previous cut showing it falling face first.
Helicopter fuel mileage?

Hmm, pretty sure he hallucinated Michonne there. But I guess there must be a reason they picked those particular characters to bring back and not ones you'd think he would be maybe more impactful in their history with Rick.

Yeah he hallucinated Michonne
I suspect the reason for some characters showing up and some not had more to do with who was available/who wanted to do it.
Glenn wasn't happy with how his character arc went and wasn't Carl's dad upset about how he was written off?

Yeah, the most-likely answer is that they got the actors who were available/willing to come back. A lot of characters would have made more sense than Sasha, but if she was the one they could get, they made it work.

Abraham made a brief appearance when Rick was back in the hospital - but voice only saying "What's your injury". Would have loved to have seen him back for a bigger role.

We had closed captions on. They indicated that Morgan asked that- and then Abraham later on.

According to IMDB, Morgan, Lori, and Abraham's were all heard.
IMDB is of course not always a hundred percent accurate, so take with a grain of salt.

I wish they didn't do the massive timejump post Rick flying away.
Let us see how the group and communities handle his "death". No real closure on that part of the story for me.

The time jump is almost like a re-boot, which I feel the show could use in many ways. Let’s see how they handle it.
Just rewatched the previews again. “Where are they...”. That was pretty cool.

I understand but you'd think they could have used the midseason finale to do the time jump to reboot the series.
Best part of the episode was Shane again. *rubs head furiously*

I like the time jump. I was lamenting the thought of several episodes of crying and whining that Rick is gone. This way we can skip forward and see what people became in his absence.
Makes the next few episodes waaaaay more interesting. IMO.

I like the time jump so far, however some things are being done like it's only a few months later. Like when the doctor (Siddiq) was asked if he had been there since the beginning- well he has been there for at least 7 years. So that would have been my answer- 7 years or almost since the beginning.
Also with Michonne being sad- Rick has been gone 6 years. I'm sure she still has feelings but she is acting more like I'd expect just after he "died." (From her perspective he died.)

The Walking Dead TV show only thread- Part II ***See spoiler rules in first post***
^^ I thought there were 2 time jumps. So shouldn’t Rick have been gone even fewer than that?
Not sure if I am crazy about Carol 3.0.

Negan looked cleaned up and seemed to be in a good frame of mind, despite the fact that he's still locked in a cell. I assume this means they've been treating him better since the last time we saw him. Also, he seems to have kind of a fatherly/mentor relationship with Judith. I'm guessing Michone has no idea this has been going on, as she'd have probably sliced his head off by now.

First time jump was 1.5 years. Second time jump was 6 years. Both according to the producers on Talking Dead, as well as what we see in the show. Judith is now at least 10 or 11 years old, and RJ has to be at least 5. A couple of episodes ago (before Rick went away) I thought I saw Michonne with what looked like a home pregnancy test.
