You all underestimate the power of the Dark Side.
----------
How about them riding horses along the top of a Star Destroyer -- which appears to be in space? That intrigues me.

One of the rare instances where the Imperial Engineers put up safety rails and they completely failed.

My first impression is there is way too much going on in that trailer and there's potential this movie could be a hot mess.
There is a ton of great visual stuff, lots of eye candy.
I really hope I'm wrong and the story delivers.

They've added the captions to the video, which confirms the "Always" is Leia.
The first voice over is Finn.

I'm hoping the movie is great, and I'm back here to argue with the stupid guy who thinks Revenge of the Sith is better.
But from the previews I am already disappointed to see they are going towards the lazy fantasy story telling tactic of giving us infinite armies rather than strong, personal, character driven narratives against the backdrop of action.
Compare this:
to this:
Its clear to me where the movies were more engaging, and I'm bored of a million faceless soldiers. These are hero stories, not war movies.

Part of me is yeah you're right . . . but Palpatine.
I will say if there's one thing that the OT did right was Palpatine, the problem is it made the ROTJ Palpatine just look lazy in how he was trying to get Luke to the Dark Side.

Wasn’t Palpatine cloned in the old EU? I wouldn’t be surprised if they borrowed from that and this Palpatine was a clone or something.

Yup he had a clone and his essence went from one to the other.
God that was a horrible comic when you go back and read it again.
It started the EU trend of upping super weapons. Why have a death star when you can have a galaxy gun.
Luke falls to the darkside sorta
Palpatine wants to enter a child. Errrr wait take over Han and Leia's kid.
Palpatine could just grant dark side powers.
It was just not good.

I have a feeling Palpatine left a bunch of horcruxes around and Kylo Potter and Hermione Rey go and destroy them with enchanted lightsabres.

Was that before Palpatine used the Glove of the Sith to teleport him across the galaxy with a snap of the finger. Unknown to us the glove was powered by 7 unique kyber crystals that were gathered during the events of Rogue One.

So at 1:41, is that a super weapon mounted to the underside of the Imperial Star Destroyer? Or just a more powerful version of the cannon that we saw on the dreadnought in TLJ?

Not sure even JJ can bring this story back on track, but here's hoping.
Expectations are low.
Even tried giving TLJ a few more chances. Just can't. It's so bad.
Give me Rogue One and Solo all day long.

meh.
I guess I'm just over this storyline. I also would prefer more one offs just set in the Universe that don't try to awkwardly shoehorn in major characters. Just make good stories in a universe we care about.

It would actually be interesting if they were somehow able to tap into some of C3POs old recordings, maybe pre-Revenge of the Sith.

I'm assuming clones don't also inherit the force powers (maybe the midi-chlorians aren't also cloned...uggh). If so, why has no one just built an army of force clones.
