My favourite Flame in recent times and I'm sad to see him go. Happy with the return but he will be missed and I actually hope he tears it up in Vancouver.

Cheers Lindy.

unlike the midget and mouthguard anchor, I will cheer for Lindholm to succeed (the person, not his team). Hope he gets a genuine standing-O when he returns, not just polite clapping masking anger and hatred.

Yeah we could have kept him for the money he wanted, he didn't bail for less money like other guys

I don't even think that was the case.

Usually a team tries to construct three good forward lines that have chemistry together, and then cobble together a fourth line from whatever bits and pieces are left. The Flames had chemistry on two lines – Zary-Kadri-Pospisil, Mangiapane-Backlund-Coleman – and built their first line out of bits and pieces.

Lindholm just never gelled with Huberdeau, and I think after a certain length of time he just got in his own head. He'll have a chance to reset in Vancouver. He wasn't getting that chance here, because neither Huberdeau nor Lindholm is a fourth-line forward.

I was least attached to lindholm of all the members of the purple Gatorade line.

One of the easier goodbyes with how the last year went between negotiations and on ice play. Just being honest.

I guess it was a fun ride overall.

Thanks for signing a long term deal early, and for playing a 1C role, through your prime years, for a middle 6 forward price

I tend to agree. Happy with the return but the last couple seasons have affected his legacy here.

Gonna miss that signature Lindy smile most of all. What a beauty.

He'll be missed, but it was time to move on from both sides. He gave it his all and earned his contract here. I hope he continues to do well wherever he ends up.
