A bunch of blind chimps would probably make better decisions on a regular basis than the Flames.
The Flames are a gong show from top to bottom.

I understand Leivo being in the line up because he might be a guy who comes back, but as a 4th line LW? That isn't a role he is well suited for. You would also think that they have seen enough of Nordstrom, Ritchie, Nestorov, and Stone, that they could be inserting young guys. Frustrating line up decisions.

Sutter has been trying to get this team to play their best at all times in order to win games. Maybe he's thinking that he can't rightfully ask that of his players if he isn't coaching to win games all the time - even in a lost season.

What team scratched their healthy started for their final 4 games

pretty easy to bash the Flames these days but I think people are going overboard here. Unless Markstom plays all four.

Demko is playing no? I assume he will play some of them at least

I....I think I kind of hate this team?

Also, can't wait to hear Pinder talk about this tomorrow, especially if they win.

I wonder if any goalie in the league has started 16 straight games this year? Has to be close to a record.

I guess they want to win these games. Then why just dress all available young guys and tell them play like playoff game and show your talent. I'm sure the points for FA guys from these games don't really help them when they try to sign somewhere.

Sutter mentioned that hed like to see more AHL guys up. So it appears blame lies on Tre why some guys arent called up. Id imagine that hed like us to win last 4 games to wind up "only 2 points out" and try salvage his job. But I will bet hes fired regardless.

Hard to make any call ups when you aren't the GM anymore or allowed to handle day to day duties

I assume.

Markstrom playing doesn't bother me but why is Valimaki sitting out? The team needs him to be better next season and that's not going to happen in the press box. I think Darryl is a good coach but IMO he's always been a poor big picture guy.

Valimaki sitting. LOL.

Perfect time for the young kids with a future with the team to eat popcorn. Unreal.

I think playing the same roster that failed to get it done this whole season is the best way to lose all these remaining games but it really doesn't make me want to watch them

I am not surprised this is how Sutter rolls. This offseason cannot come soon enough.

You don’t need to tank but you do need to give the kids a chance and a taste so they can get that extra hunger to train in the offseason. Any UFA should be sitting and every kid you want to get a look at should be playing.

I see no reason the risk injury with Markstrom at this stage as he is the most critical piece in getting this team back in the playoffs next year

The media availability with Sutter was interesting. What I took from it was:

"There is a young player on every line... Matthew, Mang, Dubs, and Gawdin"

-could be that he feels like inexperienced players should be inserted on lines with veterans

"I want to see Ruszicka and some other Stockton players. They will get in games but I don't want them in and for it to be one and done. I want them playing back to backs"

-Gawdin and Kylington both came into the line up last game, so I guess we can expect for them to come out after this game and we will see Mackey and Ruszicka in those spots.

He also said that Valimaki and other Stockton guys will come into the line up though, given he doesn't want one and dones, he must plan to take a couple vets out after this game or maybe for the final 2.

He certainly seemed pretty set on seeing some young guys in the line up and doesn't seem to be completely focused on wins to me.
