Unless the Chandler Riggs dad story is an orchestrated hoax he's probably toast. The show has shown no indication over 8 seasons there's a cure or people can be immune.

I found Chandler's acting was actually decent this season. I found him somewhat grating in previous seasons, but he actually grew on me this year. That improvement alone makes me sorta sad to see him go.

I wonder how much he was getting paid. You can understand why his father may be angry as his kid as an adult is likely never going to match his income at 18 years old. Three more years on the show and he may have been set for a long time as I don't see this kid being more than a bit actor for the rest of his career.

Oh yeah the Dad has to be beside himself. He thought this payday would last another few years.

Something doesn't add up with Riggs' dad being so upset. I'm going to spoiler this, even though it is just past episodes.

I think he is under contract to not talk about anything, whether he talked to his father about getting killed off, who knows? Probably still wouldn't have been allowed to talk about it until after the episode aired.

Edit: Ah, nevermind. I know what you mean now. Still, Carl hadn't been featured in a lot of episodes this season. So, that could be true and they just brought him back for this one thing.

Am I the only one who thought Coral was living on borrowed time for a long time now?

Negan should have killed him a couple times, in fact, the fact that he didnt was a huge bone of contention among fans because while narcissistic it wasnt realistic.

I'm only disappointed that we didn't get to see Negan finally chop off Carl's arm after threatening to do it for so long.

Well I guess there's a reason to tune in for the next episode now!

Am I the only one that thinks this is a big cop out and Carl will be somehow magically fine in the MSP? Something just doesn't add up

I wonder if the helicopter from a few episodes back might be an indication of a
re-surgence of civilization.

Will a TV or radio station will magically start transmitting again ?

Modern Science shows up in time to save Coral and everyone...

That thought crossed my mind, but that would be an enormous cop out. I mean, thats 'Oilers-getting-McDavid' levels of absurdity.

But that article with his dad? Methinks the lady doth protest too much....

Throwing a bit of shade to put us off the scent?

But man would that have to be one hell of a game-changer.

The show really does need something to shake up the routine of safe place, bad enemy destroys safe place, group beats bad enemy, moves on pattern. Not saying I want Carl to live, but a change would be nice if they handled it well.

Well, 'hobo' implies homelessness which, at the moment, is all of them, so you're going to have to be more specific.

That's the thing that is bothering me, if a walker indeed did bite him. He would have been torn to shreds. No way a walker would just leave a minor break in skin and off it goes.

Perhaps he was a very polite walker.

"Cheerio Coral, might I 'ave a bite? Thanks mate! Pip pip!"

Maybe its a ruse and its just how Carl wants to bail.

It got a little heated between him and Enid, and he is afraid to tell his dad so this is his cover story. Teens can be clever.

Dad needs to keep his opinions to himself. Your kid is on a zombie show and people die. You rode the gravy train but it's derailed. He'll got more work.
