Yup you most likely saw it, it did land on the east parallel (35R) in the morning. I watched it from work, good looking bird.

Interesting only because I thought generally speaking flights from the west land 35L. Not that it matters, the flight crew can request whatever they prefer if it's available. Maybe because it's closer to the international terminal?
It's a good looking aircraft. The whole eyebrow thing is growing on me too, in general.

I was watching on Flightradar24 at the time and things were pretty quiet coming from the east, so since it was going to the international terminal I guess that's why ATC moved them to 35R (and because the arrival controller wanted to tick me off and deny me a nice close up view from work).

Anyone know the reason for the diversion from Vancouver? It looks like it was holding for quite a bit before heading to Calgary.

Fog in Vancouver caused the diversion.

Small ones yes, the big ones I don't think so. But Boeing won't turn over the aircraft in Seattle until they confirm the money has been received into their account.

Just dropped some kids off at birthday party in the laser tag district off Aerodrive -what’s that massive blue plane parked there?

Yup it’s an Antonov 124. Came in same evening as the WestJet 787. Not sure on departure time.
