The Canadian team will also be taking on the American pair at 04:05 MST tomorrow, which I guess is the same day of competition... this is gonna get confusing for GDT.

And in case anyone is confused about the rules of the Mixed Doubles Curling here’s a piece from CBC explaining them, and it includes a video too.
Quote:
The basics are relatively simple. Each team consists of only two players — one man, one woman. Each team throws five stones per end, with the player delivering the team's first stone of the end also delivering the team's final stone of the end. The game lasts eight ends. The scoring is the same as in regular curling.
Then it gets a little more complicated.
The major difference between regular curling and mixed doubles is the positioning of two stones — one per team — before the beginning of each end. These rocks can end up counting for points if they make their way into the house.

What's the deal with mixed doubles?
I had no idea until I read that article that it wasn't just regular curling with 2 men and 2 women on each team.

GDT should probably be Korean days since we'll be watching past midnight on many occasions. So really it's the Feb 8 GDT.
There is a lot of training going on as well. I'm looking for footage.

Is there a good site that lists events and where they may be found on the channel guide?

I was thinking we can do GDT based on MST and list the hours in the title. I.e. GDT Wednesday, February 7th: 00:00 to 23:59 MST

I work tomorrow and Friday, but after that I’m off for the whole Olympics. I’m able to do it again if people are ok with that

For anyone on the fence about mixed doubles, give one or two games a shot. It really is a great watch. There are a few gimics to it (especially when the person who throws the shot gets up and starts sweeping it), but the ends are shorter and tend to have lots of rocks in play, so each shot is really important. The mixed aspect also removes some of the "blow-up the house" shots that male teams tend to use to just get out of trouble.

This mixed doubles curling is weird. Throw a rock then catch up to it to sweep it.
