Love the pressure the Flames put on teams. No room to breathe out there.

Rooney seemed surprised by that pass from Backlund IMO.

I like him. Good size, good speed, he hustles. He's not going to put up many points but he'll definitely have a spot in the bottom 6.

My issue with the 3rd line is that there isn’t anyone who scores, I love Backlund and Coleman but Backlund goes through stretches where he misses the empty net by a foot and Coleman has one of the worst shots on the team. Rooney is not the guy who will score on that line, just now he received a puck in front of the net and had no idea what to do with it. Rooney has never been the guy who gets points, you do not just suddenly develop skill to score. He’s a 4th liner and that’s fine

That's a cool initiative started by Chris Driedger. So true how expensive goalie gear is.

I have been watching Rooney in the defensive and neutral zones - can see why the coach likes him

and as others have said - Kadri looks great

Is Looch the last player in the NHL without a visor? Getzlaf and Thornton were the others that come to mind. They both retired at the end of last year.

Isn't this Tanev's first game back since his shoulder surgery? Why does he look like he hasn't missed a beat?!

Yeah Rooney needs to be removed from the 3rd line good wheels and size but his offensive ability is going to hold them back.

If you are expecting better offensive output for the third line than what Backlund and Coleman provide, then your expectations are way, WAY too high. Both are second-line producers on most teams in the NHL.

Rooney proving why he should be fighting for a 4th line spot as suspected.

Both guys have scored 20 in the league multiple times...it's a 3rd line not a first line

Do they still have happy hour the hour before the game? I like to shovel the booze in that first hour.
