Dark Table serves you in pitch black
Interesting experience but the food itself wasn’t very good

How do you feel about nude servers? Or eating in the nude?
What about the chef only preparing what you can kill with your bare hands?
How about a nice dinner and when it’s over you all draw straws and whoever draws the short straw is hunted down and killed by the other dinner guests?
If any of these tickle your fancy send me a PM. I’ll hook you up.

Okay, cool. Bummer to hear the food wasn't good. Maybe they should turn the lights on to cook it hah. Maybe the experience offsets the bad food, or do you think just going to earl's would have made for a better night?

I think you need to hit the diviest of all suburban strip mall pubs.
Your power move will be choosing the menu for everybody for the four course pub meal.
Also since it’s October - make everybody dress up for Halloween

Ya, that’s what I heard. Not being able to see what I’m eating doesn’t appeal to me personally.
Foodies in the park was really good. You dine in plastic bubble in fishcreek or down town.
The zoo used to have neat things going on, but not sure if they still do. I think covid was pretty rough on the more interesting things.

I've seen those bubbles...do they get super hot like a greenhouse?

I’m pretty sure the food is cooked and served by blind people…

How about the Grey Eagle Casino buffet...good food, well priced, casual. They have the prime rib on weekends. You could also combine it with one of their shows.

As recommended already you need to find some divey pubs/restaurants to see the locals. Bonus points if you show up to shady places wearing suits and ties. We went to the Water Valley Saloon once after a round of golf and while the place was pretty cool and looked inviting you could tell that the locals were not too thrilled with our presence for some reason.

Comedian Howard Kremer suggested the "shredstaurant". The wait staff would carry electric guitars and play riffs based on what you order.

Sultan's Tent used to be a pretty cool experience. In your own little tent, they wash your hands, then you eat without utensils. Food was good. I haven't been in a couple of decades and I think they moved. No idea how it is now.

Dude that sounds rad. Our own little tent? That's precisely what I'm after.

Sultan's Tent is behind chicken on The Way in Kensington. It was unique but I was disappointed with the food.

Stay tuned to Bow Valley Ranche's dome dining experience. I did it around this time last year (maybe closer to end of October), and the experience was really fun and the food was damn good. It was at their site (down in Fish Creek), but I think they do it at locations around the city. Just depends when they decide to host it. There's a 'stay connected' button in the following link if you'd like to find out more info when they do this:
