Things are a mess there. I know my old boss is struggling to round out a crew. He’s called a couple of times to see if I would be interested in coming back. They’ve lost their patch bay coordinator and head of IT and all of the game day techs and some camera guys. You can’t turf everybody and then expect them to come crawling back.

They looked at her analytics work prior to being hired and believed it was good enough and she did start 8 months ago so firing her now in the preseason seems odd. I have read weird rumours amongst Canucks fans of her being too candid regarding players like Peterson to liking tweets criticizing Aquilini for his latest transgressions. Seems like there's more to this than just her performance. Canucks are becoming quite the tire fire of an organization.

Becoming? For the past decade they have been a team that has driven away their best goaltender of all time in embarrassing fashion, driven away one of the most iconic players in Linden, struggled on the ice with one playoff berth in the past seven years, off the ice they have had sexual assault allegations and an owner who has been dogged by accusations of poor work conditions as well as significant family issues… I can’t come up with a bright spot for the team other than to say that Benning is gone after a decade of making a mess of the roster and its future.

I certainly can't argue with anything you said there.

Hey, come on now. Benning was the best thing to ever happen to that organization!

She liked the Aquilini tweet after being fired.
Look, I was right on the "Aquilini meddled" train too when this news first broke. The information that has come out since then points to nothing nefarious. She showed up, did some work and they said "not it, chief" and turfed her.

Anyone offering 8+ for that guy is an idiot. He's barely worth 7, at least on a long term deal.

That a GM will offer it does not mean that it's a reasonable amount for what the player brings.
Edit - Taj is known for making #### up and is a twitter troll. Not to say it may not be the case but do take that with a grain of salt.

Again: Her liking the tweet came after her termination.

I think the Canucks owners/front office are going to look terrible when this comes out.
