The Flames iCal schedule I subscribe to is now powered by Rocket something and defaults to reminders 15 minutes before each game. I go in and remove them and they default back automatically.

Had to actually remove notifications from my calendar app. What a PITA

One of my neighbours put up their Xmas lights and decorated an outdoor tree this weekend. Not exactly a gear grinder, because I don't really care that much, but it's pretty weird.

It would only grind my gears if they turned the lights on before Halloween.

We have those and have them on constantly also. I think they look nice and the whole "wait until after Remembrance Day" is just a new made-up thing. I have no idea who decided that was somehow disrespectful or that because you were looking forward to Christmas that you couldn't also observe the sacrifice of our veterans.

I got gemstones thinking I would change em up for each holiday, season, and sporting event.

They've been on 'architectural' since about the 2 month mark.

I’ve asked a couple of veterans who have told me they don’t think that lights before Remembrance Day is disrespectful. Granted, that’s not a mathematically valid survey.

I have the the white lights spaced out for week nights, it looks nice and understated. for weekends I have a nice rainbow pulsing pattern.
