Singapore would have been a lot more boring had Verstappen had the pole. I found it at least a bit more interesting to see him have an eventful race where he had to fight against teams who normally can't touch him.

I called it at the beginning of the year. Aside From RB there really wasn't much to bank on. Nobody knew Ferrari would come out red hot and then shoot themselves in the face repeatedly sewer8ng their push to compete at the top. No one knew it would take Mercedes all year to get back to some sort of competitive status. And it just carried on down through the line up. Haas and Williams having a bit of life, Alpha Tauri pooping the bed, McLaren vs Alpine is about the only constant outside of RB I think. Even then it varies week to week. AM not even registering existence until recently.
Such an upside down season. Kinda love it.

Hahah. Not going to lie, got my wife to pick for me this week, literally put her on the spot and got her to name drivers off the top of her head. She was worried until I told her I was last and she couldn't do worse than me!

Reminds me of some NHL playoff pool years ago where someone picked names she liked, or faces or some other non “analytical” hockey selection process and ended up 3rd.

Hahaha, this is gold. I remember having a buddy back out last minute for a Fantasy football league so I got my wife to play. She picked cute guys or ones who looked "athleteyyyy". Guess who won the $500 and the trophy. Ugh...she still reminds me.

I just love Suzuka. Might be the best track in f1. The esses at 2 to 5, the full beans left handed sweep into the chicane at the end of the lap. Love it. So fast and your line has to be tight AF to milk all that track is worth.

It really is perfect. Even once the cars defeated 130R, Spoon took over right away as such a tough corner to master.
I find the Degners really challenging to master on racing games, but not really in the annoying way as a lot of other challenging corners.

You play that track on GT or F1 any year and you realize it's also maybe the most taxing track on the f1 circuit on the driver's too. I can't think of another track where the G's alternate left and right as much. It's grueling.
Maximizing the lines in 1thru 7 would be draining as hell over 50 laps.
