That's back to back early exits for him.

Yeah, I think we're seeing the effects of a long tennis season with some of these guys (including Felix). I have a feeling that Felix was likely a little flat after both the Davis Cup and Laver Cup, but take nothing away from RBA, he played a very good match yesterday.

Vasek continues his fine play of late defeating Hugo Grenier at a Challenger event in France 7-6 6-4.

Great fight from Genie Bouchard today, but she loses to Belinda Bencic who prevailed after 2 hours and 39 minutes 6-7 6-1 6-4. That was certainly top 50 level tennis from Genie today.

He'll have plenty of time for dancing now that Mannarino beat him earlier today in three sets.

Not that we didn't already know this, but Iga's court coverage is amazing...

I don't know these players, but who was the one on the bottom just bombing shots at the other? Why is he being that way?

That's Corentin Moutet of France, he's a very talented player, but he's also a hot head and quickly loses his cool. He's played Felix three times (Felix has won all three meetings), but the one most people remember is at the US Open in 2020 where Felix just steamrolled him in straight sets 6-1 6-0 6-4).

I wonder why he would be so hot during warmups...but thanks for the explanation! I only casually follow tennis nowadays, but love this thread.

Maybe he was mad at Moutet's drip?

Shapo wins quite easily 6-3 6-1 over a young Japanese qualifier and will next face Borna Coric which should be a cracker of a match.

I don't have an artistic bone in my body thus this kind of talent truly amazes me...
