Picking Tkachuk instead aside, it's crazy that of the 4 top defensemen in Central Scouting's final rankings, Juolevi is the single guy who hasn't developed into not only a regular player, but into a top pairing guy. Chychrun, McAvoy and Sergachev have all gone on to be legit top pairing dudes.

I thought he was a bad pick, at the time, because of the low ceiling. However, I figured he was a safe pick to be a #4ish dman in the league.
Him not making the NHL at all, as a regular, is a surprise to me.

Also why you don't draft by position...who the #### knows what you need down the road. Also, Tkachuk can land a top end D, forward, 1st and a prospect anyway. That draft is the gift that keeps on giving.
