Forgot about this one from Heart. Gives me goose bumps everytime I listen to and watch it.

I think last ~minute of this song is one of the heaviest musical passages I've ever heard (starting at 7:45). It's all drums, but I really enjoy the shots of orchestral members looking around like "damn, this some heavy ####."

Devin originally wrote these drum parts on a computer and wasn't too concerned about how difficult they would be to actually play. The album was originally meant to be a bit of a joke, so he recorded it all himself, but it ended up producing a few tunes that ended up fan favourites.

Pharoah Sanders just passed, but this was his final album, and it is a wonderful listen. Works great as both background music and focused music.

Alter Bridge with the Parallex Orchestra at the Royal Albert Hall is amazing. What’s even more amazing is that they only rehearsed for 2 days

I guess watching these videos caused this to pop up in my YouTube feed. I am a pretty big fan of both Bowie and Gabriel and had no idea this was a thing.

I've been saying for the last 30 years that the songs on Puppets and Justice are pretty much symphonies just played on heavy metal instruments. Now I need like 10-15 people to play it on strings, woodwinds (no brass!) and percussion (kettles and piano only!).

Where's Bach or Pachelbel when you need them!

What? No Electric Light Orchestra? The first R&R band to use orchestral influences?
