The Wranglers take on the Gulls again tonight at 8 pm. After last night’s beat down, the Wranglers are now the top scoring team in the entire league. They’ll hope for a repeat performance tonight.

Phillips is still first in scoring by 4 points. 20gp/15g/15a/30pts,+7, 6 PIM. First in goals still, as well.
Pelletier is in a 4-way tie for 6th. 20gp/9g/14a/23pts,+3, 4 PIM.
Zary is in a 5-way tie for 10th. 20gp/8g/14a/22pts,-6, 21 PIM.
Jones is in a 6-way tie for 19th. 19gp/5g/15a/20pts,+5, 15 PIM.
Poirier is 7th for scoring for D, first for rookies by 5 points. 20gp/3g/13a/16pts,-2, 10 PIM.
Very happy to see how the top prospects are performing this season, this is going to pay huge dividends down the road if/when injuries happen. Only a quarter way through the season with the Flames, I'd expect at least some of these guys to get games with the big club before it's all said and done!

Quick profile on prospects rising and falling in the Pacific division of the AHL. Seems like the author figures Pelletier is overdue for the next step.

I haven't made it out to a Wranglers game yet but its great to read that Zary is seemingly pushing the pace of play and creating opportunities for his teammates. That's an identity that will be appreciated on this Flames team which could use a few more play drivers to play with our current skill guys. Reading that article, you can really see the potential of a Pelletier/Backlund/Coleman combo down the line here, another guy who works hard and gets his opportunities through relentless forechecking and passing plays.
It's hard not to be excited or at least cautiously optimistic about Poirier, during camp Daryl gave him extra practice reps with the big team, and now he's putting up just under a point per game as an AHL rookie D? Fingers crossed we are looking at another potential Kylington down the line. That article also talks about how his defensive game and physical play has been improving consistently since moving over to the AHL from Juniors. Here's hoping he keeps this up and continues to take steps!

The now somewhat depleted Wranglers take on the Gulls again tonight. 7 pm start. I’m excited to see what Pelletier/Zary/Jones/Schwindt can do now that they’re the guys.
