My suggestion would be to replace all the black with red and never speak of this again.

The RR 2.0 are significantly better than the original pedestal home whites & away reds. However, 4 games is enough.

I'm coming around on Blasty blacks as a regular 3rd jersey, but our current fulltime home & away sets need to become untouchable, much like the Canadiens, Yankees & Packers.

I love the reverse retros. Not a huge fan of the pedestal, but it isn't a deal breaker for me. The rest of the design really pops on the ice. Looks much better in action than on a hanger.

It is the C of red. The more black jerseys you make the more risk to the model. We have had amazing jerseys now for what, 2 years? Can’t we just have it awhile? We had those abominations for like 10 years, those fugly flag ones or whatever.

Maybe swap red and white in the jersey striping. You might be able to get away with a 2 colour flaming C and 2 colour numbers being Red with heavy yellow outlines.

Not a chance, imo. They're a proven cash cow, they'll be back every two seasons, just rolled into the next company to take over jersey design.

I wasn't too fond of the RR, until I saw them on the ice last game. Now I love it, and I hope Santa brings me one!

I've always loved blasty, every incarnation.

4 games. It's for fun. It's like NFL colour rush. It's neat to see. I'd rather do something bold than safe. Safe is what got is the flags for 15 years and those awful wordmark thirds.

No no, I think there will be plenty of these one-off jersey lines for sure, but I don't think we'll see another "Reverse Retro." I could see a different theme tried in the future. Colour rush is a possibility.

Oh okay, yeah for sure. I like the reverse retro idea, and would be in favour of continuing with it, under the assumption that teams continue to push the boundaries and take liberties with what a reverse retro is.

I hope we we don't go the way of MLB and NBA. Their alternate jersey programs are so watered down, over used and lame. Oh cool, another 70's/80's boring colour with a wordmark nickname for your city or team.

Those leagues, NBA especially have watered down the alternate jersey to the point where I don't even blink when I see a new one on TV, they're meaningless.

To me, this years Flames and Panthers jerseys are perfect for the program. Don't try to make something long lasting or a homage to heritage with a backstory. Just make something kind of fun and out there that looks cool on TV and gets fans laughing and talking about how different and fun they look, and only wear them a few games.

The NHL has this program right.

I'm honestly amazed at how good the Flames' ones look on the ice. I know there were even people in the org who weren't nearly as sure about how these RRs looked versus the last ones. But honestly, I think they look just as good (if not better).

So even the MIC game jerseys have the "seam" across the middle above the pedestal? At least it doesn't seem too obvious unless you're looking for it: https://thumbnails.cbc.ca/maven_lega...FLAMES_(1).jpg

They looked way better in action than they did in the marketing pics.... But I still contend the pedestal era has no business being remembered and/or celebrated.

I think the black Blasty looks good. I think this reverse retro looks good too. I just don't think black should be the dominant color for Calgary Flames jerseys. I don't mind the black trim ala 2004 but I just don't like the black jersey for the Flames. As long as it isn't the main uniform then I can live with it.

I wonder what either of the blasty or RR would like like if a red flaming C was used instead of the Blasty or the white flaming C though.
