Crash and Bang Winger

Six years ago I bought my place(first time buyer) and kinda randomly stumbled into a great real estate agent. She was genuinely excited for the nervous energy first time buyers and guided me through with no problems. Fast forward six years later and she still drops by every Xmas with a bottle of wine to chat and see how things are going. I've certainly lost a lot of faith in agents but she truly makes me feel better about the profession!

It went better than expected, actually (and we expected it to be a good meeting). She was here for a week and the two of them got along really well. There's another trip planned for the spring.

WMMH is a sleepover weekend with our grandson. Tonight we built a blanket fort in the living room and we're having a camp out in it tonight. We've had hot chocolate with whipped cream and chocolate sprinkles, some junk food and we are watching "A Boy Called Christmas" from inside our fort.
Tomorrow we are going out to our trailer and we might go tobogganing if I can find a sled. Grandpa will give rides in the tractor, which is the little man's favorite thing.
In a couple of weeks, we're taking him to a Christmas party and to see the Airdrie Festival of Lights. Grandkids are fun.

I'm really happy to have a slow cooker on such a cold day: beef stew ready to eat when I walk in the house!

My barber does hot shaves so once in a while I treat myself to one. My face is baby smooth for today at least.
Another hot towel? Don't mind if I do.

While a couple of stickers are not quite the same as a full bright livery, this is a step in the right direction and counter to the recent trend of blacking out police cars. From both a visibility and symbolical standpoint, police cars should be bright and have a visible presence, not be dark and skulking in the shadows.

It drives me nuts how our police force looks they're the Decepticons. Everything they buy is black - uniforms, vehicles, etc. Like, who the hell do you think you guys are? It's intimidating and of course they know that. They're trying to intimidate all of us.
They should be in high visibility gear that makes them look approachable and as though they're there to help. Plus, imagine putting on that faux-military costume they wear now. You wouldn't be able to help but feel like a badass. I know I wouldn't be immune to it. So then you get dudes in their 20s, 30s and 40s dressed like they're part of Seal Team Six responding to calls for a pumpkin smashing and they arrive in their black cars and call in the chopper and just go around acting like a menace. It's just such an unfriendly image they project.

The yellow photo radar is the result of a new law last year that just came in effect on Dec 1. There's a lot of changes regarding where they can and can't be used as well

Coached kids hockey team and won the tournament this weekend. Makes Monday a bit more bearable.

The white heavy crown vic RCMP cruisers always seemed approachable to me. add some neon and it kinda looks like this pic.
The black cruisers I get were kinda more badass, but I'm also wondering if they went that direction to differentiate a bit more from the peace officer cruisers.
Neon stripes is really good though. If you get a ticket from one of those vehicles, you deserve it for being unaware in your vehicle.

What I really like in this photo is the stickers for Emergency & Non-Emergency calls.
Not enough people know you can call the police with out "Calling the Police" using 911.
It might ease up and reduce the overall calls to 911.
