My biggest scheduling beef are matinee games. Maybe I am in the minority, but I kind of assumed most most fans in Canada don't like them when their team is playing in one. If other markets like them, then that's fine, but they should schedule them against each other. I just find it harder to get into it in the middle of the day, especially when there are other chores and work that needs to be done during the day. I can see why matinee games work well in non-traditional markets where entertainment priorities are different, but in Canada, watching hockey just feels better at night.
Maybe it's just me, I don't know. I would love to know if other people feel the same way. It also seems like matinee games are getting more common as they overload Saturdays with games.
