I’m getting the feeling you haven’t watched much hockey if you think Markstrom’s play this year qualifies as ‘sucks really bad’. At least keep it in context relative to all time league wide goaltending.

His play hasn’t been equal to his previous best while playing behind a roster that’s still working through the effects of the roster change, while having the hardest schedule of any team in the league.

There’s a pretty wide gap between ‘sucks really bad’ and 3.03 .889 early in the season.

I dunno you tell me lol . this is probably the most heavily trafficked Flames specific community on the internet and people in the organization and media have accounts here

so if they care at all about the appetite of the fanbase this is probably one of the first places they would come to get an idea of what the fans are talking about

I think cp might have a little influence of marketing strategies they employ .. and maybe even some influence on the return to full time retros since it got a lot of support here

Has there ever been a GM/head coach/mascot before? We’ve seen some dual roles but never the treble. If anyone could do it, it’s Scorch.

I think it boils down to the bit that his promotional intro included him knocking out a fire fighter and standing victoriously over the body

there might not be any coming back from that when the people in the team know that people out there know why he was canceled

they could rebrand him with minor changes . I dont see why not . but maybe someone at the top is fervently against his resurrection
