Think they need to stay with the hot hand of Rittich for tonights game. Yes getting Talbot in on an easy team makes sense, but Rittich was in a bit of a funk and needs to keep going.

Could you imagine two Tkachuk's on the same line against the Kassian line?

Rittich is going to the ASG. I am sure he will be fine. On the other hand, I would be more concerned about leaving Talbot on the bench for such an extended period of time. If he doesn't play tonight, that means sitting for well over two weeks without a start. That's too long at this time of the year. Both goalies need to be playing. Start Talbot today.

Talbot deserves a start. He is the freaking NHL third star of the week. Let him keep the momentum going -- keeping both guys fresh/sharp is how you sustain a long push for the playoffs.

Oof, been there. That's a tough one.

Looking at the Sens lineup, I'm deeply offended by how bad it looks. WTF is that defence? Good lord. Absolutely no reason to lose this one, especially if they've lost 9 in a row.

God Jesus, please don't let the Flames take them lightly!

Afternoon matinee.
Last game of a road trip.
Sens desperate to snap a 9 game losing streak.

This has all the makings of a Flames loss. I hope I'm wrong.

Go Flames!

The Flames had better win this.

How dare you! There's a Moxie's, Montana's, Boston Pizza, and Jack Astor's all within walking distance of each other.

That's practically the same as Electric Avenue in the 80s.

If you really want to party, you can make an all-night Denny's work for you. I'm going to base my opinion of the younger guys on the Flames entirely on whether they have the energy and jump to play up to the standard that I expect for this game.

I'm not really kidding. If there are certain players just floating around, I'm going to start making assumptions based on the rumours, and be that guy yelling, 'Get 'em outta eeeeer!'.

I hope they're flying out there today.

Certianly we will see what sort of mental fortitude this team has. Not a great opponent, all feeling high after the Toronto press had told them how good they are for beating the Leafs....and Ward has nothing to hold over them as far as getting days off etc, as they’re all off on vacation for a week or so after today, even those in the ASG.

It’s time for Flames players to start watching the standings. If that doesn’t motivate them, I don’t know what will. Maybe they’d like to hang onto first place in the Pacific.

Talbot was on a hot streak himself before Rittich got the start on Monday. He deserves to be rewarded for that. Playing good the last two games and going to the All-Star game should be enough to keep Rittich's confidence going.

Ugh.... Won't be able to watch.

Am going to try to avoid all electronic correspondence and interaction so I can watch it on game centre after the wife goes to bed tonight. 2 points keeps the flames atop the division during the break, I think.
