You have to think MLB needs to expand by two if they do expand. Does Montreal have a chance?
They have a chance but it comes down to the ownership group willing to pay the expansion fee. I think if that’s the case they welcome them with open arms as money talks. But really it should be the Marlins moving there. I question Montreals corporate support for any sport aside from hockey. But without a doubt their fans are really great.
Chris Bassitt called out MLB for not doing anything to help pitchers get a grip on baseballs.
"I had some close calls tonight. I've been hit in the face, I don't ever want to do that to anybody ever. MLB has a very big problem with the baseballs. They're bad. Everyone knows it. They don't care. MLB doesn't give a damn about it."

Every year it’s either the pitchers or the batters complaining about baseballs. It’s a little tiresome. Batting averages are at a historic low right now at .231 across the board. The next closest is .239 in 1968. The peak of the dead all era. Pitchers are pitching very well. So unless there is some crazy spike in HBP it sounds like sour grapes to me. Which is weird because his stats look good.

The weight; texture; size; inflation; and slickness from one ball to the next isn't the same. Maybe it's the humidors installed in all parks this season?
Somebody is gonna get seriously hurt. Rob Manfred is a joke. He's gonna have to live with that.
Joe West was on Jared Carrabis podcast said that Ángel Hernández was given a score of 96 by the league office for this night's performance because their grading system uses a different zone than what we see on TV. Seriously. Lol.
