I saw this floating around a few places and it's kind of shocking.

Someone complied a Google Doc with all known sexual assault/abuse/harassment that NHL or NHL affiliated players have been accused of with sourced news articles. It also has accusations of domestic violence and/or violence against women.

I had no clue how disgusting the accusations thrown at Doug Gilmour were and if they're true I don't think I want him associated with the Flames in any capacity.

Sheldon Souray's makes me want to vomit.

You can look at it here.

So much to say about them but for starters, how about how they actively look for automations for the purpose of eliminating jobs (just to improve their productivity ratio)? Or closing business in multiple countries where they had business for years when those countries depended on them? Or changing their benefits to be below average a few years ago where 99% were perceived to be worse off? Or changing their pension so new employees can’t pass on survivor pension to their spouses? Or paying the least of the banks in most cases, to their employees? I can go further but sometimes people drink the kool-aid and buy into what their company tells them while behind the scenes bankers will always be bankers at the core. Look up where Porter came from and know his history before knowing the corporate interests are always first.

IIRC, when he was traded to Calgary there were rumours of his "babysitter" issues known at that time.

And there was a reason why Calagry dumped him quickly.

Flames trading Gilmour to the Leafs had nothing to do with the babysitter thing. Risebrough totally botched that all by himself.

Both of these are true.

I remember there being rumbling when he showed up.

I remember there being shouting that Risebrough #### the bed in that trade.

He botched the trade, but he was also a big part of why the trade was necessary. Gilmour was also not exactly blameless.

I don't disagree, I was just talking to the two points raised in those posts.

The accusations against Gilmour were public knowledge at the time of the trade. The girl's family filed the lawsuit against Gilmour and the Blues in late August 1988 and he was traded in early September. The grand jury chose to not indict in late 1988 and the lawsuit was dropped shortly after.

Any legal problems were well in the past by the time he was traded to Toronto.
