I think Frances just ran our of gas today as he loses to Sebastian Baez of Argentina in the final 6-3 6-2. the 21 year old claims his first ATP title.

Jack Sock wins the ATP Challenger event in Savannah, Georgia. I for one wouldn't mind seeing a PopSock reunion.

Bianca has a chance to make a deep run in Madrid if she can get by Pegula as a lot of the top seeds have already been eliminated. Sakkari has lost and Osaka is on her way out as well. Tough luck for Naomi as she had a left leg injury and it has really impacted her play.

So was Aslan Karatsev just a one year wonder? Goatfin took him out in straight sets in Madrid earlier today.

Andy Murray continues the losing skid for Dominic Thiem as he wins 6-3 6-4 in Madrid. Happy for Andy, but tough to see Dom struggling like he currently is.

Hey, Shapo is back and he wins the opening set over Ugo Humbert in a tie-break (7-1 was the tie-breaker score).
Edit: Denis consolidates an early break in set 2 and is leading 0-3 with Humbert to serve.

Denis with a nice win 7-6 6-3 over Humbert. There were a few dicey moments in set 2 where Humbert had chances to get back on serve, but Denis kept his cool and managed to see it out to a successful completion.

Kevin Anderson is calling it a career. He's had a heck of a career making 2 slam finals with some massive wins in his resume especially at Wimbledon.

We have a rain delay in Madrid with Bianca down a set and a break to Jessica Pegula. It's been a real battle today between Jessica and Bianca, a bevy of break point opportunities.

No bueno for Bianca as she loses 7-5 6-1 to Jessica Pegula. One of those situations where I don't think the score reflects how well Bianca played although the rain delay certainly seemed to take away a lot of momentum.

It was a grind (enormous amount of break points saved, 4 set points in the first set saved, fighting for every game) that she ultimately couldn't hold up through anymore... Which isn't too shocking given that she's still making her way back, but you just hope that she can continue to get better to a point where she can last through those sorts of matches because if she's going to get back to being in the conversation to win these tournaments there are going to be plenty more, and against better opponents than Pegula (not that Pegula is a bad player by any means).

I was hoping to post that nobody beats Gael 18 times in a row, alas Djoker wins 6-3 6-2

Andy Murray takes the first set 6-1 over Shapo playing some sublime tennis. Denis needs to hit the reset button big time.

Shapo wins a very long game to hold serve in set 2. It might be a TSN turning point.
Edit: Very next game Denis breaks and is serving at 4-2 in set 2.
Edit 2: Consolidates the break with some fine play at the net.

I am, against my better judgment, watching an early round Shapo match.
Murray looks a bit tired. EDIT: Well, nevermind, what a point by Andy to bring up a break point.
