This is also an interesting post. Are you divulging this info because that is what Flames fans received from Oling and you want to prove you are a Flames fan or did the Greasers get tipped off about the content somehow and you want us to believe you are a Flames fan. The fact that we can state what was in our PM's makes me suspect the Oiler group has a way to know what was sent out. Remember, the proxy troll is "tech savvy" and has a Calgary IP. I was hoping the Conn Smythe could be/would be used as a possible way for someone being voted out to say if they are a townie.

But dissentowner brings up an interesting point, if it is a twist. I don't think it is though. I think it is a differentiating way to get people to know if they are townies or not. It could only be used once, and has already been used. For now, I think it also shows bizaro86 is a townie IMO.

For all I know, Fuzz and bizaro are both mafia, and I am just playing this completely wrong. Trying to make sense of something with only 80 posts is not easy.

In general in online mafia games the role PM won’t have any information that if shared will allow you to prove you are town or scum so I take the Conn Smythe stuff as pure flavour. I don’t think you can get a read of Bizaro’s or bonded’s post here

I agree. I don’t think Olling would have given us a “proof” and then gone ahead and said we could share the info...he might have even said the same thing to the scum just to make sure every thing was “even”.

I don't like pointing at specific people that to be checked, but in broad terms, it's good to check people whose alignment will tell you other peoples' alignments as well, who are likely to survive, and who are unlikely to be detected otherwise.

For all we know, the Oilers fans could be privy to the flavor in our role PMs. But we could at least save the other things from the role PM for a vote in the future. It's not much, but if the Greaser fans are not privy to it then it could help a bit.

In the sign up thread Scornfire posted that they were looking forward to being the first casualty.

I'll wait until later today to see if Scornfire gets involved - this game started pretty suddenly, so I'm willing to give a little leeway on not getting started right away. I'm starting to think that not posting at all might actually lean toward town alignment - it would be much easier to not get around to posting if you are on a large team. If you are on the small mafia team, I feel like there would be much more obligation to post as you would be letting down specific people.

Hard to get a read so early here, but my radar seems highest on Winnipeg fan. He has only one post with no real substance. I cannot tell if this means shy townie or cautious mafia though.

I have no other good feel to this point. I will say I think all the "vets" seem to have a similar posting style to before so nothing has been given away in that respect.

I think we push for a replacement if he doesn't post in the first 48hrs. Wasting our Lynch on a person who isn't playing gives the scum a big advantage. I know Maz had a one post per real time day rule.

Oling what are your rules around replacement players?

I suppose this could be true but in one of the games I ended up replacing someone who was too busy to post and they were scum.
