Hockeyguy15 being far too helpful and showing concern about outing the Mod and also downplaying the significance of the first day of voting as random when 3 players aren't voting randomly.

I'd like to see everyone to have voted by the end of the first 24hrs of the game day. Voting creates a track record that allows us to go back and solve the game on about day 3.

Not sure if joking or not but anyone using RNG to decide there first day vote should be lynched because it doesn't force the person to make a decision and justify it.

I didn't suggest it, Bonded did and for fun I did it to see who I would get. I rolled myself.

Honestly I'm thinking about previous games and seeing who I think was helpful and who wasn't. As of right now I'm leaning towards dissentowner or puxlut, I think both are more reactionary than logical and sometimes they muddy the waters.

It is pretty much random, everyone has their own reason for voting and then someone gets latched onto for whatever random reason.

It's true. I'm definitely reactionary. But I though diss had a good head on his shoulders. I am always suspicious of the person that casts the first vote.

Sure am, the more we force people to vote the longer the trail is and the easier it is to solve at the end.

Outside of when we are a vote or two away from lynching someone or at the very end when the mafia is close to out numbering the town everyone should have their vote on someone.

Voting someone also forces that person to defend themselves so you get info out of them.

I had a question on what you are able to reveal from your role PM, the only thing is you can't do anything to 'verify' it. I.E. you are not able to post a screenshot, forward it, or show someone your phone in real life with it etc. The content in it is fair game.

Day 1

With 15 posters, it takes 8 votes to ban user prior to deadline. It takes at least 5 votes to ban user at the deadline. A tied vote at deadline results in no banning.

Thanks for starting this! Very excited to be back playing mafia.

Some thoughts: I agree RNG isn't a great way to vote, because it doesn't leave a trail of reasoning to follow.

Also, to follow up on the comment - are we sure it doesn't make sense for the mod to reveal themselves? Obviously there is no upside to doing so until they have at least one scummy oiler fan identified. However, once they have 2 oiler fans ID'd I think they should out themselves and tell us who the oiler fans are. There isn't any downside at that point - while they probably get lynched by the oiler fans that night, they also will provide 100% of the data they could get using their power. It would be a shame for that data to die with them by mistake. Even one oiler fan identified it might be worth it...

Also, if you are the moderator and figure out an oiler fan, please leave us clues even if you don't want to out yourself yet, so if you do get killed we can go back through your posts and find them.
