They made a second one? What did they do, dance around with a skeleton?

Can't say I've ever walked out of a movie, but I've definitely fallen asleep during several.

The only movie I ever walked out of was Cronenberg's 1996 Crash. That was just hot garbage. Great cast, but terrible movie. Next would have been "The road to Wellville" but that was a rental, didn't want to leave the house.

Great thread. I literally walked out of Blue Beetle on Friday. Just boring, predictable garbage super hero BS. I wasn't expecting anything more, TBH, but I was craving theater popcorn and it was at the cheap theater. As soon as my popcorn was done I left.

Saw lots of people walk out of the Exorcist. Not because it was bad, however.

My grandma took my sister and me to see Why Shoot The Teacher in 1977. She had us leave when there was a suggestive erotic scene.

When trekking in South America in mid-90s I met some Germans, and invited them to see Reservoir Dogs. They demanded we leave during the "ear" scene. They could not believe I would recommend such a movie.

Be Cool is a crime against humanity. The Village should have seen the director executed on live television. The Ladykillers remake somehow didn’t end Tom Hanks’ career and it deserved to. The unholy trinity of garbage films to walk out of or shut off.

I almost always sit through any movie because you just never know if it will take an interesting turn. I've been pleasantly surprised by movies that started horribly. I've also been unpleasantly surprised by movies that started well and ended in a mess (Wes Anderson's Asteroid City is a perfect example).

But Speed 2 sticks out in my mind. I walked out after 20 minutes. It happened after a scene where the baddie pops up on some tv screens on the bridge? It really doesn't matter. Jason Patrick's character spins with his gun in surprise and almost shoots the screens, until he realizes that it's just a tv picture of the baddie, and he manages to restrain himself. That is until the baddie finishes monologuing and in a fit of misdirected rage, Patrick's character screams and shoots every tv. I laughed out loud in a part I wasn't supposed to at all. I left immediately after. What a truly embarrassing film that was.

Edit: I forgot to add... the movie was free. I walked out of a free movie because it was so bad.

I've heard that film has some good tips and tricks and helpful advice.

I’ve been kicked out for being underage but I’ve never walked out.

Closest I ever came was Thor Love & Thunder. I hated almost every second of that movie.

There are a lot of movies I SHOULD have walked out of (I sat through every cringe-worthy minute of Battlefield Earth, for example…) but the only one I can recall actually leaving was The Forgotten with Julianne Moore, which I found just intolerably bad.

I've come close a couple of times, but I've never actually walked out. Figure I'm already there, might as well see what happens.

The closest I came to walking out was Movie 43, which I'm still convinced was only made because the producers had a ridiculous amount of "dirt" on people and the stars got cajoled into doing this execrable piece of excrement under duress.

I almost walked out of this one; I really loathed it. I don't know why people love it. I snuck into a screening of The Royal Tenenbaums right afterward—payback as I saw it for being hustled by the movie industry for paying to see Punch-Drunk Love—and much preferred the other Anderson's work.

Similarly I was mildly inebriated and slept through most of S.W.A.T.; I couldn't tell you anything about it, other than I remember Colin Farrell being in it.
