I just finished season 2 of Twin Peaks. I'd never seen it before but had seen some David Lynch movies and always liked them so finally got around to watching it.
My expectations was it would be weird and it definitely was but what surprised me was the humor. It's a really funny show.
I've read online people don't like the characters of Dick and Andy but I found them hilarious and added to the charm of the show.
Here's a scene from near the end of season 2 that was pretty great.

God I love Twin Peak. What I would give to wipe my brain and be able to watch it from the start clean.
I've been wanting to watch it for so long. The only scene I really knew was the backwards talking which is from the Who Shot Mr. Burns episodes which I'm sure you know!
So many great characters. Coop has to be one of the greatest TV characters of all time.

NFL season is over so time for a new show for myself.. you guys are way more knowledgeable than me & less lazy so please decide for me. Looking for netflix or amazon. Not super picky or addicted to genre. but really behind on shows.
I am hearing yellowstone is a must watch?
Have loved- sons of anaracy, narcos, snowfall, for life, money heist, fargo, ozark, animal kingdom, gotham ( until the end, got boring) peaky blinders, suits, etc
Have not liked- the americans( dragged on too long) house of cards ( i think just wasnt right timing)

Loved it. Great show.
I cant speak to The Americans or House of Cards.

House of Cards is fun if you can get past the knowledge of Kevin Spacey in real life being almost worst than his character. Lots of malice, plotting, and intrigue. It will keep you entertained.
The Americans has lots of really good elements, but I found the writing to be really inconsistent from episode to episode and season to season. Lots of stuff done without any real reason or logic. That being said, some truly remarkable moments and episodes on that show, and overall some interesting plots and character work. Just don't expect a masterpiece.

I loved The Americans. Matthew Rhys and Keri Russell? Yes please. Rhys has also been excellent in Perry Mason.
If you're looking at Prime I start all day, everyday with The Boys. Fleabag was also outstanding. Good Omens was fun, as was Upload. If you want to switch off your brain for a good action series try Jack Ryan.

Some of the lines from Resident Alien just kill me
Asta Twelvetrees: Do you ever meditate? Harry Vanderspeigle: [to himself] By "meditate", do you mean sit peacefully and think of all the people I want to kill?
[out loud] Harry Vanderspeigle: Yes. I like it very much.
Harry Vanderspeigle: This kid is a menace. He just won't give up. Where was that effort from the humans when we were helping them build Stonehenge? A bunch of idiots just sitting around drinking mead, making us do all the work. Lazy druids.
Harry Vanderspeigle: [voiceover] All beings in the universe are different. For instance, my people are brilliant. Humans, on the other hand, are so dumb that they think the leading cause of death is heart disease. It's not. It's almond milk. Even the gray aliens won't touch the stuff. Despite their differences, there is one truth that connects all beings. Life doesn't ever go as planned.

How can you not like a show featuring an Amish gangster? It's pretty good right through until season 4 when it kind of runs its course.
Well just finished the series last night and I miss it already. It's definitely not a show you need to give your full attention to which I like. I find it funny that whenever I would put another episode on my wife would be like ughhh not this show again, but then I'd see her watching it and she'd wanna talk about the show after. Also Job clearly the best character.

Banshee and The Boys are the closest modern media adaptations of graphic novels that I've experienced so far. It's as though those pages just came alive.

Almost done season one - it is addictive. All the characters are dealing with some kind of sadness. Astronauts are not super-human, they are totally human.
My wife and I really enjoyed See on AppleTV with Jason Mamoa. There's some parts we laughed out loud over but overall we really enjoyed the first season.

Antony Starr is kind of underrated IMO. He kills it as Homelander.
