I'm not sure he's worth that much anymore. His value has gone down due to how Buffalo has mishandled the entire situation.

One of Coronato, the 1st, or the 2nd would and should not be involved in a trade. (just a guess)

Every single time the Eichel rumors heat up, a stupid old [Trade] thread somehow finds its way to the top. This leads my body to many extra and unwanted heart palpitations.

No they couldn't.
If the Flames could have gotten that deal from the Blues I think they would have made that deal in the summer.

...disagree with that. Tarasenko, Neighbours and a 1st is not a good return for Tkachuk.

That's a soon-to-be 30 year old, a late 1st round pick that was generally projected to be a 2nd round pick, and what is likely another late 1st round pick.

That's a bad return.

Tarsenko, Neighbors, and a 1st isn't a very good return.

Tarasenko was negative value with that deal and his recent injuries, Neighbors isn't anything special, and a 1st isn't that great.

I'd be pissed if we traded Tkachuk for that little of a return.

It is a brutal trade thank God it wasn’t a move the Flames actually made.

I've gotten to the point where I wouldn't believe a real blockbuster trade thread if it appeared. Waited so long for Brad to get off his ass and do something that hope and expectation are long dead.

Saw rumblings of the Flames offering Tkachuk and Gaudreau for Eichel on the old Twitter machine.

Did that originate from a legitimate source or just mad speculation?

No that was Friedman talking today about suggested trades he’d seen from fans.
Basically used that an an example of a trade that wouldn’t make sense for Buffalo because it’s not futures based and because of their contracts

Okay good.

I'd like to continue entertaining the idea of living in a world where Gaudreau, Tkachuk and Eichel are all Flames for at least a short window/one playoff run.

I say go the prospect route. #### it.

Tarasenko has negative value from the Flames point of view. Monahan has little value from the Flames point of view as well. For Buffalo they have unused cap space and tons of it.

Tarasenko @ $3.75 mil and monahan at @ $3.2 mil are much more valuable in a trade because Buffalo can retain salary. Maybe they can be more patient on a Tkachuk trade and get more but if they can get way more than Tkachuk and a non lottery protected first is a great return on Eichel because they should get 3 first round caliber pieces for Tkachuk alone

I’d easily do monahan first not protected and valimaki for Eichel. If I’m Buffalo I’d do it too because I believe monahan 50 percent retained is valuable. Unfortunately the flames can’t afford to retain salary so they can’t get what they want for him

This team minus Monahan (and no Eichel for the year) is one key injury away from being in the Shane Wright sweepstakes.
That's even better, we get both Eichel and Wright in one trade.

Not trade speculation, but this isn’t good news, great young player.

Eichel can use the Olympics as his training camp, get comfortable with Gaudreau and go on a spring tear with the Flames......#onecandream

Elliot Friedman says it's completely fan based and makes no sense at all.

If the Flames are trading Tkachuk they should shoot for the moon not just focus on one, or two teams.
