Or GG can go full Hartley and start Stewart, Ferland and Hathaway up front against McDavids line to basically go all in on sparking the team and hope that Gio and Dougie can hold the fort for a shift or 2!
Frolik has been awful offensively, and Backlund is having a down year. Without Tkachuk, they're not doing much.

Pat Steinberg @Fan960Steinberg
Versteeg one of the players skating late this morning. Looks like he won’t make his return tonight. #Flames

Doesn't sound like it, but I'd love to get him in there just so he can chirp McDavid all night. Versteeg is great at that stuff.

So if Tkachuk & Versteeg are out, we'll likely see one of Shore, Stewart or Glass in the lineup? Hope its Shore, but its probably Stewart.

Stewart coming into the lineup tonight. Gulutzan says Versteeg close but not quite ready to return. #Flames

Stewart could be good for a rivalry game

I think my determining factor on watching or not will depend on which broadcast crew is calling the game. Since it's a home game I would assume it'll Ball and Co. But it wouldn't surprise me to see Quinn and Rememda weasel their way in there

You just know Quinn and Remenda are chomping at the bit to call this game. Since it's the Flames, they know that McDavid will likely score a hat trick, which no doubt has them squealing with excitement this morning.

Aaron Vickers @AAVickers
Jankowski with a long post-practice skate. Think he could be scratched in place of Shore. #Flames

Oh, it's them calling the game? Then I'm not watching. Even if the Flames win 6-0, all we'll hear is how the Oilers are really outplaying the Flames. Even if Gaudreau gets a point on each 6 goals, we'll only hear about how lucky the Oilers are to have a player like McDavid and the Flames don't have anybody who can score like him.

Then, can you image how worse it would be if the games was close, and/or the Oilers won? Quinn and Remenda make watching hockey a difficult thing to do.

It's not confirmed yet who's calling the game. I was just saying that those two are sitting at home right now crossing their fingers, hoping they get to do it.

It’s a Calgary home game wouldn’t it be Ball and Hrudey?

Kristen Anderson @KdotAnderson
Seems like the lines are in a blender today. Might look like this (Jankowski was one of the last ones off the ice and Versteeg/Tkachuk are definite no-gos for tonight):

Gaudreau-Monahan-Ferland
Bennett-Backlund-Frolik
Hathaway-Shore-Stewart
Brouwer-Stajan-Lazar
