I mean, this is best case scenario. We get a 71OV top 6 guy but if he does retire we are not on the hook for his salary because we were not the ones that signed him.

I tried to send a couple assets to TB before he was officially waived but he wouldn’t bite. Not sure why.

By trading him you would have the ability to waive him to the AHL. Like I said to you, the only team that was going to be able to stash him in the AHL was Tampa. I agree its not a big risk for you without the buyout in play now.

I hope he plays either way.

Because I am pretty sure hes going to retire. And it was a hard offer to put together to mitigate the risk. And Dave I only believe 91 percent of what you say
