This is a good point. Or don’t have nominees or finalists. There will always be a cutoff so no reason to have a public debate over people’s struggles.

Curious as to why you didn’t have Lindblom on it. If you don’t feel comfortable answering, that’s fine too.

My thinking is that since he hadn’t returned to play when the media actually sent in their ballots, would be a big factor of him being excluded from many ballots.

That was basically my rationale, to be honest. I'm thinking that the Flyers PHWA chapter will nominate him next season (capturing his return) so he'll likely get tons of votes then.

If it's a Silver trophy it will match his medal from the 2010 Olympics. Whenever Bobby Ryan comes up I always think of Getzlaf calling him Silver.
