Right up until the second half of season 3 it was. Then there were just great moments interspersed in a bunch of "whaaaa?"

Just finished Broadchurch and The Fall. Great shows both of them.
David Tennant is always great. Broadchurch...man oh man do the writers like to challenge the actors and the characters.
Although Gillian Anderson's English accent in The Fall came and went, I thought that her performance was outstanding. The interplay with the other characters was intense as well.
Started watching Shetland but it wasn't as intense as The Fall, so I have to go to The Crown and then will come back to Shetland.

We had joy, we had fun, we had a season in the sun, but the wine and the fun like the season is all gone.

She has an english accent in her normal speaking voice, so that is quite an accomplishment

Does she? I didn't know that. My apologies to Ms Anderson because her accent seemed to be stronger in some scenes. I thought she was great!
edit: I checked with a pal who was on some xfiles episodes with her and he said that she could do both accents easily. A little google action and...it turns out that she is American by birth, moved to Puerto Rico for a few years, moved to England until 11, and then returned to the states. She can speak with both accents seamlessly and switches between them based upon who she is speaking with. I have seen this with one of my daughter's friends but didn't know that Gillian Anderson could do this. My daughter's friend will be talking in a room, speak with her mother, or speak with my daughter, and her accent flips back and forth from English to Canadian.
So Gillian Anderson speaks with both accents depending upon whom she is speaking to, which could also explain a bit the slight change in her accent on the show. I'll have to enter this into the "things I learned today" thread!

All fantastic shows. I thought Shetland got better as you got farther along. That scenery - just gorgeous.

Another one I really liked was Indie Game: The Movie.
There is another one Indie Game: Life After. Not as good as the first, but still worth watching if you wish to see what happens to the various guys after their games release.

A surprise find on Netflix recently was Mad Max Fury Road. Didn't realize it was up.

Netflix is absolutely killing it on original/exclusive content. They're all over the map in terms of genres and almost everything they're pumping out is good.
The revenue in 2016 was $8.83 billion to earn a profit of $186.7 million. They're spending a lot of money on talent, content and infrastructure.
The last quarter of 2016 they added 7 million new users and expecting another 5+ the first quarter this year.
Remember in 2011 when everyone thought they were going to die because they separated their physical media subscriptions from the streaming? Should have bought stock when they announced it (~ $15-16). Or a few months after when it dropped to $9. They're at $155 now.
Blockbuster had the chance to buy Netflix for $50 million in 2000. They might be the stupidest company to exist.
