Jamaal Westerman said he found out about the trade from Montreal to Hamilton via a text from someone sending him the tweet. Kavis called after. Hasn’t spoken to Coach Sherman. First class organization...

Honestly Kavis Reed was an average defensive back, mediocre special teams coordinator and poor head coach. He has zero credentials to be managing a Tim Hortons let alone a professional sports franchise unless you think a biochemistry degree somehow prepares you to manage a business. What's going on in Montreal is amateur hour and the biggest embarrassment for the league since the Feterik years in Calgary.

Well with the performance the Als gave tonight, guarantees a Manziel start next week.

Adams wasn't great last night, but he didn't get a lot of help out there either. Receivers dropping passes and Bede missed three field goals, the defense that played well against the Stamps was pretty bad against Edmonton.

No quarterback is going to do well in Montreal until they put together a decent front line.

When your team leaves 16 points on the board because of mental errors you can't really blame the guy delivering the ball. I thought Adam's was ok, he made some good throws and made some good decisions, but overall that Als offense is terrible. I would expect that JF will start just to keep fan interest up though

That's a bad call on Marcus Ball. That's just a football play.

That should be a forced fumble and not a punt block.
Toronto is giving Montreal a race for worst team

Not a good season so far. Games are mostly poorly played, one-sided, or both.

This is what I've been saying for a while. I don't know what's going on, whether the teams aren't scouting properly, whether they are struggling with talent evaluation. But the fact that in week 6 for example the Riders still haven't found a corner back is telling.
The depth of talent in the CFL isn't great right now and is going to get worse as the two other leagues start up with the attraction of players staying home and being paid in US dollars.
The football has been terrible this year and hasn't been great over the last 2 years. Even the Stamps who are very good at scouting and developing are an incomplete team as the offense continues to struggle. If the offense was a bit better, they would be outright embarrassing teams.

or a quarter-back?
I think one major problem in the league stems to quarterbacks...
lions - lulay / jennings - they are back to lulay after jennings has crapped the bed. Lulay i think could be good for a team - but super injury prone
eskimos - reilly - good
stampeders - bo - calgary - good
sask - bridges/collaros/watsomething - meh
winnipeg - nichols - decent, their new guy may be good. I don't think Nichols is by far a great QB.
hamilton - masoli - i feel overrated - he gets yards but no scoring
toronto - ray (injured), franklin (has been crapping the bed, no proven starter)
ottawa - harris - decent - good at times?
montreal - hope for manziel to do something in the cfl?
When 2 of the 9 teams in a league have what I'd say is a good, proven, reliable quarter-back... there is a problem of talent. Toronto could be up there if Ray wasn't injured.. (and that would mean a 38 year old is one of the top 3 current QB's in the league...)

It's been mostly West vs. East so far. More West vs. West coming soon.

This East vs. East game (Ottawa vs. Hamilton) has been dreadful. 6-5 Ottawa at the half.

Masoli puts up pretty good passing yardage stats, but it doesn't translate to touchdowns and wins for Hamilton. He finally broke a streak of 40 offensive drives with a TD throw late in this game today. As you saw though, he was sacked on the last two plays of the game and that's something that can't happen. You have to take a shot at least, throw it up for grabs, somebody might make a great catch or you could get a PI call.

It seemed to me that most every time Masoli had a high importance pass to complete it was either over or under thrown. Brutal.
