Wow Bouma eh... I could see us claiming him just because he knows the team/system and provides 4th line energy if needed. He'd be an extra forward usually but I wouldn't mind a claim on him.

Really, really, really hope nobody claims Burrows and he gets to rot in the AHL for the rest of this year and then goes to Siberia to finish his hockey career.

Hwy, why don't you leave the addition of Hoffman out of the proposals to make it look more ridiculous. Nobody was proposing a straight up trade of Brodie for Oduya.

Replacing in the short term the loss of Brodie in a trade that would have involved him is just being proactive about the position. No one ever said trade Brodie straight across for Oduya lol it was packages for Hoffman.

Flames need to use the cap space and work to find a winger.

Have you seen the prices for deadline players? If flames do anything it's probably going to be coming off this list for some depth.

Flames have 4th liners....
They should be working to find a winger with term that can play the 3rd line and add offense
Not sure if they will find that type of player....

None of these guys are worth putting a claim in for unless you're desperate for "veteran" depth. Ie a 13th or 14th forward or 8th defenseman.
