Today is the 15th anniversary of the release of Batman Begins. The film still holds up as being great, and introduced the world to Christopher Nolan
Ahem.

Today is the 25th anniversary of Batman Forever (time flies). This was the first Batman film I saw in theatres and I fell in love with everything Batman after watching this film as a 7 year old. I recently re-watched it and can recognize it's not a good film but damn it will always hold a special place in my heart.
The best thing about Batman Forever (and I enjoyed the movie) was the hamburger that McDonald's put out for it. I think it was called the "McHero" or something. Damn that was a great burger.

Not really. Supposedly it was McDonalds tampering that resulted in Burton being removed from the project in favor of a family-friendlier Batman movie directed by Schumacher. McDonalds was apparently quite upset that happy meal toys starring De Vito's Penguin and the Pfeiffer's Catwoman didn't end up being so suitable for children once the movie was released.
Christian Bale did a great Batman, but Micheal Keaton is still my favourite Bruce Wayne.
This scene right here was basically ripped from the comics scene for scene, but it works so well.
The brooding loner called to action. Whenever I think of Batman I think of that scene and can picture it a dozen times growing up in the comics.

Memento was a film for college aged males who thought they were being artsy (that was me). Batman Begins was definitely a massive step up.
Wow. That is a truly terrible take.

I still remember that burger, which tells you something. That and the Arch Deluxe are probably the only two discontinued McDonald's items I can actually recall.

Batman Forever gave us Hold Me Thrill Me Kiss Me Kill Me, and Kiss From A Rose. that alone makes the movie legendary.
I think it would be difficult to explain to younger people who missed out on the mid-'90s phenomenon that was movie soundtracks featuring songs that weren't even in the movie. And that those soundtracks were still hugely popular.
I still have the Batman Forever and Godzilla soundtracks on CD.

End of Days, the crow, etc. So many good soundtracks. Usually artists put their crappy b sides but every once and a while there were some real gems.
So Long by Everlast on the End of Days soundtrack is one of my favourite songs.
