I just don't know how Spurs can seriously consider themselves title contenders with their current fullback options. You're not winning trophies with the amount of gaffes Danny Rose has on a per game basis.
EDIT: Just remembered we signed Sessegnon. I'll settle down now.

One thing I will say is that the new stadium doesn't seem to have lost any of the atmosphere that WHL had.

It's amazing. The old WHL was intimate and had its charm, but this new stadium maintains that intimacy and is basically a larger, more beautiful version.

Goodness me, I wish I could say that about West Ham. I really can't.

I saw Trezuguet playing and momentarily forgot what year it was.

Mings and Heaton deserve gold stars but I don't see Villa having much success this year if their plan is just to sit back and invite pressure for 90 minutes every game. They were absolutely gassed by about the 75th minute.

I thought they were really good, actually? A result would have been huge for them and not really expected at all. But they're going to be good enough against most of the league.

They were excellent at the back but I felt their gameplan really let them down, which falls on the manager. You could just see Spurs wearing them down over the second half and they made zero adjustments and just seemed content to sit back and invite pressure until they finally broke.

That's probably the best idea for them though. I mean credit to Norwich for playing forward, and attacking yesterday, but that just got them battered.
I think that some of the credit today has to go to Spurs also. Last year that game may have ended 1-0 Villa or maybe 1-1. They can seemingly never breakdown these teams that play to park the bus.

I thought that the Spurs went up a level when Ericksen came on. Mind you that could have been coincident with Villa running out of gas, but I thought it was an instant escalation.

I've grown to the idea of foyth at rb too which poch wants
Hes quick, and he loves a dribble, he nutmegd messi at Copa haha
while hes young, best he does that out on the right than at CB, picks up confidence, plus gets him playing time, as hes behind the 3 at cb
Also him being more defensively capable, let's them sort of tilt the attack, move the defense over left a bit, so sessegnon has more freedom to get forward

I wonder if Mourinho is going to be a United fan-boy all season?
Quote:
When asked who he thinks could win the title this season, Mourinho said: "Four teams. Man City, Tottenham, Liverpool and Man City's B team. When I looked at City's bench and saw the players that weren't involved in the XI, I believe even their B team can win the title."

They're still paying him, arent they?
