That's cuz Calgary was a dump in the 90's.

My first trip to Calgary was in the early 90s. We pulled an all nighter driving from Winnipeg to Regina to Banff, and my first memory of Calgary was looking out the car windows on Hwy 1 to what now is Valley Ridge and the Nose Hill areas. My thought was this place looked great and maybe one day I could live here.

If you think Calgary was a dump in the 90's, you ain't seen no dumps yet.
