It was a small showcase for the 21-year-old netminder

said QC coach Ryan McGill. "He did a good job and showed himself very well, and now the management can make evaluations of how he played and go from there."
very curious what this means; prospect trade coming?

you know that's something that crossed my mind. maybe sutter wants to see lalande in action to know if either he is worthy of being a trade piece, or if he is capable of being a regular ahl guy if keetley or irving were moved. i have no idea personally who they would be wanting to get or what prospects would be leaving, but maybe sutter wants to make a deadline move and having 3 goalies this good would make them prime candidates for moving.

i don't think 5th round picks have a ton of value in the trade market, so it would more than likely be Irving

It's not where they're drafted, but how they're playing that counts.

I remember a scount or GM saying that goalies are often drafted fairly late, usually in the 5th to 6th round range...

Makes sense to trade Keetley or Irving (most likely Irving has more trade value). Kipper will be around for at least 3 -5 more years depending if he retires after the 4th year of his contract. McBackup has proven enough in the AHL that he deserves more of a chance at the NHL. There is going to be too many goalies in a couple years if none of them are moved.

I dont think Irving is going anywere he will control the blue paint in 3 years. Kipper will be sent packing.
