Default Hail to the King baby.... the BOOMSTICK! is back......

Why the hell am I just finding out about this today? Is this the best trailer ever produced? I very well might be. This cannot start soon enough. How Bruce Campbell never hit the A-list will always baffle me.

VERY VERY NSFW......

You knew they were Jewish.... right?

I love that 30 years later, Ash is still driving that crummy Oldsmobile.

I remember reading it has been in 5 or 6 other Sam Raimi films as well.

I would buy one, and drive it with a huge #### eating grin on my face. Even if nobody else appreciated the thing of beauty it truly was.

Why I think The Evil Dead was such a masterpiece, was because it had such a simple plot device. A book... some words, that's all it took. Much like what made John Carpenters The Thing IMHO the true benchmark of gore-horror. That and gooey splatterific practical effects.

I know, I know, they don't make em like they used to, I need to go yell at a cloud... etc. But modern horror films just don't have the grit, the 70's and 80's had... like you felt you weren't really supposed to be watching the film. It made you feel kinda dirty and impure.

Classic horror films had characters you attached to, either good or bad. Freddie, Jason, Ash, Pinhead, Myers, Ripley. The hero was either badass enough that you cheered for them to plow through whatever evil was in front of them or the villain was cool enough that you just wanted to see them tear everything apart. Most every horror movie I've seen that was made in the last 10 years I've forgotten about the next day because they rely more on jump scares and creepy atmosphere than any compelling characters

Damn, sorry. I used the search function using 'Evil Dead', and didn't see it. Feel free to kill this thread mods.
