(Stole the thread title from one of their earlier EPs)

Without getting too much into the drama, they were pretty kickass in their heyday, but the two founders and best friends split up right at the peak of their success. Louise Post kept the band name and put out a few more albums, while Nina Gordon went off and did her own thing. Most will know them from their two biggest songs, "Seether" and "Volcano Girls."

Anyway...

New stuff!

Early stuff

Peak stuff

Post-split stuff

Nina Gordon stuff

They played Conan maybe a month ago, sounded great. Always loved those chicks, smokin' hot back in the day, played riffs on Gibsons and wrote great songs. I'm hoping they book more shows and come through town, never know.

Volcano Girls is one of the most perfect pop-rock songs ever written.

I loved this band when I was a teenager and I still listen to eight arms to hold you fairly often. This excites me.

Nice. Can't say I've really followed them through the years, but I recall being impressed with Nina Gordon's early solo stuff post-Veruca Salt. Veruca Salt sure could rock. Hope they can recapture the magic.

I actually met Nina and Louise in 1995. Met them before their gig, outside their bus. They were really friendly, Nina in particular, and took time to chat with the few fans who happened to be around. I always thought that was very nice of them.

Hmmm, I saw the Conan show and thought they sounded pretty bad. I really enjoyed them in the nineties, but from what I've heard so far I kinda wish they just left it there. Not impressed. To each their own though, not looking to rain on any parades.

In semi related cool story bro news, I dated a girl once who was in an all girl band who did a cover of Seether back in the day. Good times.

It was a TV appearance. Singing was in tune, harmonies in tune, guitars sounded good. The drummer missed a cymbal shot and laughed it off, I'm sure they've tightened up after getting into the tour. Talk shows are pretty much the most difficult environment for a band to play, amps have to be set low, monitors sound different, etc. Louise has even slimmed down a bit and looked great considering it's 2014 and not 1994.
